Sad really, even with COVID in Victoria you would think they have the information by now to let everyone know?

Piss poor really

Today being a Public Holiday in most of the country I'd expect an announcment either tomorrow or Wednesday. Take a breath

Given that any of Melbourne, Perth, or Illawarra could have home court, what exactly do you expect them to announce?

Surely it's pre booked already smh dumb what’s a public holiday got to do with anything? You think Lk has a long weekend

LK doesn't run all the details himself in case you didn't know. NBL has a staff. Media is also important when making an announcement.

Sorry you don't know anything about how major sports are run. That doesn't make you right.

As someone who has a lot on next weekend, I'd sure like to know. Was really hoping Melbourne would get up yesterday, which would probably have led to some information being released.

Game 2 on Sunday.

I do find it strange that first game is in Perth, it certainly is an advantage. United earned the right if they get there.

Hungry Jack's NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said: "In order to play the best of five Grand Final series with minimal interruption, the first two games will need to be played in Perth, regardless of the Wildcats’ opponent. This is due to the fact that as soon as any of the Grand Final teams enter Victoria, under the current settings, they cannot re-enter Western Australia without having to quarantine.

“The teams involved have been incredibly cooperative and have each agreed to the terms of the altered Grand Final schedule. We are very grateful to them for their understanding and flexibility which allows everyone to make the best of a very challenging situation, whilst also acknowledging that everyone is making compromises."

The Wildcats’ opponent in the Grand Final will be determined on Tuesday night when Melbourne plays South East Melbourne in game three of their semi-finals series. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN, SBS VICELAND, SBS On Demand, Sky Sport and Twitch from 7:30pm AEST.

yes it's Melbourne getting that favourable draw again that apparently they have had all season

I don't like this at all. If United make it through they get the potential final three games at home? That's a huge advantage.

Massive advantage to Perth there

As a United fan I'd much rather have HAHAH than AAHHH

If let's say the series is tied at 1-1 after the Perth leg then United get three shots at clinching the title at home in a row. That's a no from me.

Well two shots with potentially three games at home.

On the other hand, Perth, despite finishing 2nd, gets a golden opportunity to go up 2-0 and take 3 swings at a title.

It won't matter, United or SEM will beat them anyway but if Cotton was still there, this would be huge.

IF MELB WINS TOMORROW - Melb finished top - if any team is disadvantaged by Perth having 2 homes games to start the series it is melb

Under the regular format Wildcats would have the opportunity to clinch the title at home in a Game 4, now that has been taken away from them as there is no way of hosting a do-or-die game of the series at home vs. United. Huge.

What if sem win? Does perth not get the decider at home? Or there is three here to start? That's a problem for the league. It was already likely but the league will avoid that pickle at all costs

If SEM get through it'll presumably be the format the NBA used back when the first round Wass best of five.

I assume a PER-SEM series would logically be HHAAH which is less problematic.

Will be interesting to see what schedule they go with if SEM goes through. First 3 home games in Perth? It would be the only way to play in front of crowds for every game, but may result in a short GF.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn’t goorj say that they’ll be flying out to the us for camp on the 24th? If so then assuming MU get through it’ll be quite the task for landale and goulding to go from playing in the finals to jumping right to prep. However they’ll probably take care of it in 3 or 4 so they might snag an extra day off but at least they aren’t Simmons, Thybulle or Ingles who may run ever deeper into their playoffs.

"Richmond hosts St Kilda on Friday night(June 25) and Essendon hosts Melbourne in that round.

The MCC was hopeful even a small crowd of 20 per cent would get the ball rolling with up to 50 per cent crowds the following week."

From Herald Sun

So hopefully 20% outdoors at MCG on Friday week.

Doesn't bode well for United/SEM if this turns out to be correct.

But not unexpected.

Actually that 20% hope was referring to this week, but now most games have been moved interstate, so still hoping for 50% next week

May depend on timing of announcement too. If NBL wants Wednesday Game 3 for example, it needs to be scheduled quickly
