Potential signings

https://nbl.com.au/news/nbl21-roster-watch-december
Another well-written article by Liam Santamaria. Here are some take aways
Adelaide may sign dp's Nick Marshall, Michael Harris and Owen Hulland
as said by someone in their depth chart ages ago.
Brisbane not much news there
Cairns not much news
Hawks nothing
Breakers nothing
MU nothing
Perth Tom Jervis maybe last roster spot if Cotton doesn't get citizenship
SEM Dane Pineau Injured DA13 (Andersen could replace)
Kings Cooks replacement down to 3 Kyei Jois or Vodanovich

There is no way Tom Jervis is nbl ready??? Wouldn't they want a more versatile 4/5

Jervis been training to play for State league team (Rocko), would only be needed for 10-15 and knows the game plan

Rumor is that Shaun Redhage preparing for a potential NBL comeback. May play a month before calling it quits again.

This Bolden obsession is hilarious. He's not coming to the NBL. Give it a rest.

Jervis wouldn't be a bad signing.
The question would be who makes way when an import is added.... Jervis, Bairstow or please Kevin White.

By keeping Jervis Perth can go after an import 3/4.

Travers won't be your typical DP , expect him to play decent minutes all season.

Is Wani Swaka injured? Haven't seen him in the preseason

I watched quite a few of Wani's games in the SBL this season and he hasn't really impressed me.

Certainly some interesting points in that article. Apart from a couple of Perth games, I haven't seen much of the preseason, so I'm interested to see how some of these teams actually line up.

For Adelaide, will DJ and Humphries spend a lot of time on court together, how will Pinder be used, etc?

MU also interesting. Barlow is well past it, and for a while now CG has been better off the bench. Fascinating to see how well Baba does, whether he justifies his spot. I assume they're keeping a import slot in case Landale leaves??

Wildcats? ROFL
Travers grows a few cm, and people have him starting at PF.
It will be really interesting go see how many minutes he does get, and how everyone is used. Still a lot of uncertainty, and we COULD see a lot of weird shit.
Cotton taking PG duties
Almost anyone filling in at SG
Definitely expect to see Travers getting decent exposure at the 2 or 3
Blanchfield playing at PF

Not sure about Tommy. He struggled last time, and has now had an extended break. But at least if he has his family with him, his head will be back on straight. I guess he'd only be playing limited backup minutes with Mooney having to start at Centre.

Bolden will get way more from a G league team. If Perth can sign Brandt then yeah they become favourites again

Brandt doing very well in Japan under Dennis, can't see him being released. Vague not doing as well in the lower division, could be available but Japan probably paying him a lot more.

Perth with Jervis...
Norton, White
Cotton, Lo Buluk
Travers(DP), Steindl
Blanchfield, Wagstaff, Bairstow
Mooney, Jervis

G league $ are terrible, about 45k for the season. Bolden would get around 10 times that if he played here. but was rumoured recently he was on the verge of signing with real madrid.

I have it on good authority Adelaide is only going with one official DP, and having the other two as unpaid training players. Wonder who they'll make official...

069 which bit of that is difficult for you to understand?
G League pay is about what the poster has stated. It's very poorly paid.

Is that the bit you don't understand? Or do you not think that Bolden could make way more playing here?

Players don't play in the G League for $$. The money is terrible. They play because they want to stay geographically close to the NBA.
