JLA

JLA has declined his player option with united for next season wants to explore opportunities overseas. Would be a no huge loss for united

Not surprised

He would've been on good coin, and Vickerman will likely find a strong import big instead.

They'll replace him with a high level big

Certainly wasn't as good this time around though he played behind Landale last time, reported he had some personal problems, maybe injury, in the end just couldn’t lift when needed. Good luck to him.

Thinks he is better than what he is and let him go and boost his ego.

He wont be gone long, developed into a very one dimensional player. NBL is his ceiling.

Presumably will earn more in China, like he did the season before last

United will probably welcome him back again in a year or two's time

He already has a kid that's a few years old, unlikely he stays overseas for too long.

But with China's import rules similar to Creek he wont play much behind the marque stud. That wont fit well with his ego

Has something changed in China? JLA was putting up good numbers there in 22-23. As was Duop Reath that year

CBA is hard to follow. Is it only 2 imports with all Chinese players?

China aren't super good at basketball, they should have at least 3 imports so then their Chinese players can play against stronger players for their development.

I read in the ESPN AU site about the player payment rise and Olgu said the NBL now has four imports per team?

Did I miss read something or is the 4th import the Next Stars slot. I thought Next Stars don’t count as imports, paid by the NBL.

No nothing has changed.

"NBL teams are permitted to have a combined four imports and marquee players on its roster". but they should have said out of these 4 - only 3 can be imports.

eg Melb Utd had 3 marquee players this year - so could only have 1 import
