The nba is full of dumb trades today.

Some of these trades are salary dumps aimed at getting under Luxury Tax level (Nuggets Trade for example).

Exactly you need to start looking at the contracts and salary dumps that is why an expiring contracts are worth something and teams often look for them or try and dump them when they can.

I'm not a parent so I rely on these types of threads to know when I am allowed to do more than 40 km/h through school zones.

1. Thanks for such insightful and contradictory comments.

2. Salary dumps equal poor contract sigings so why take on such crap.

3. Trading a possoble 13th pick to save money is a smart option?

4. Wheres carl when u need him?

5. Numbered responses are used to frequent these days.

Teams who aren't competing can take on poor contracts and use it to gain assets

Teams might give up a pick because they pick as guaranteed money as the salary. It’s about managing the cap.

Why do you think Mozgov keeps getting traded, not for his on court stuff. Probably will end back on Lakers this year if LeBron wants him again

Shayno, give us a recent trade example that has riled you up?

You'd have us believe that a billion dollar organisation with a team of professionals who work daily with the intricacies of NBA trades and bargaining is no match for the mind of your lone self. Easy to question trades with hindsight, but there is always a reason at the time.
