That wasn't my point. They talked it up going to the US then hired a local. They probably just said it to make the US holiday they were taking tax deductible.

Downer been at Brisbane the last few years, not much of a track record there.

Demopoulos experiment worked real well for Melbourne, just go a local cheap option.

Shawn Dennis may be interested but he is contracted for another season after this one and makes roughly $220k USD per season. He will stay in Japan. Would be lucky to get $120k for Cairns job and a horrible recruiting budget.

This is why I haven't renewed my membership! Correct Joel Khalu is a spud. Jamie O'loughlin is a terrible choice too, especially because the players would roll their eyes everytime he said something. DMac has shown he can't coach at the NBL level. I mean hopefully this is just rumours because if these are actually the candidates then we screwed.

Maybe that's why everyone is deserting the ship. Hardly scouring the world is it.

To call all the local coaches spuds is ridiculous, I'd take any Australian coach ahead of most import coaches, just look at United this year compared to there American coach previously. If you have served your time as an assistant and your credentials stack up take the Aussie.

PNG is a 3rd world country. Not counted. Khalu is a spud.
