Under 16 Boys Div 1

As there is another topic talking about the Under 18 boys comp, I thought I would start one for the Under 16 Boys comp.

Looking for other peoples thoughts on how some of the team have progressed in the last 2 years since Under 14s

I would assume Forestville and Sturt remain the strongest teams in the comp, Making the gf in under 14 boys(2010) and also had a couple of bottom aged players in the mix for the 2011 U16 State team.

Looking at the season just finished Southern could be one of the most improved teams from under 14s in 2010 with some new recruits since, adding some further depth to that club.

What do others think?

After looking at the previous seasons, the predicted Table with estimated average scores should look a bit like.

Sturt 72.7 to 36.2
Forestville 48.4 to 37.3
Eastern 53.7 to 45.5
Norwood 53.5 to 43.5

Southern 50.2 to 44.1
West 47.8 to 48.8
Centrals 47.4 to 58.2
North 41.4 5o 52.2
Woodville 40.5 to 60.4
South 34.8 to 64.2

Only real variables should be the country player influence at Centrals and Mavs. West might go up a spot, but Woodville and South look like the Cellar Dwellars, Sturt should be undefeated for both Summer and Winter.

Anyone else want to put up their predicted table?

Seriously people have too much time on their hands if you want to forecast an age group when you have no idea what the teams will look like. Players move from two years ago - new players etc. If you look at one year ago do you look at Div 2's do you look at Div 1 U16 team and see if they were full of first year's etc etc.

Personally it is a futile exercise - I think applying science to next week's lotto numbers is more fruitful

Sturt have a very strong team and should go through undefeated. South and Centrals might be done by + 100 points if they are not careful. Southern will be top 4, and Eastern will be stronger in winter. Central definites for the wooden spoon in summer. Hard to see them winning a game.

North beat Sturt and they are the ones to beat. Was at the Forestville-Centrals game last week. Forestville with plenty in the tank weren't troubled.
Forestville/North/Sturt to be in the top group, Eastern/Southern/Norwood to fight it out for 4th spot, West/South/Woodville/Centrals to wallow at the bottom of the ladder. When South beat you by 11, you're in for a long season, so lock Centrals in for the wooden spoon, a very weak team this season.

Forestville
North
Sturt
Eastern

Southern
Norwood
West
South
Woodville
Centrals

Norwood still have two huge kids to come in I believe - one who is missing this season with injury, and one who is SAC and playing winter only.
