What will the league look like?
for me it will be:
Sydney Kings
Wollongong Hawks
Melbourne Tigers
South Dragons
Adelaide 36ers
Perth Wildcats
Brisbane Bullets
Gold Coast Blaze
Townsville Crocodiles
New Zealand Breakers
thats my dream league, taipans fans can support the crocs. good for tv rights etc here also.

I can guarantee there will be no Dragons, or second team in Melbourne next year. But wil defintely be one in Brisbane.
Not sure about Sydney.

i think 9 teams will be in... a 2nd Melb one in another year - maybe 2. It wont be a South Dragons either, it will be one of the local clubs.
No Cairns, they are really struggling despite a HUGE community campaign by the team. Unfortunately Cairns relies on Tourism and the is NONE atm. They have the highest unemployment rate in Australia.
Sydney apparently have a big $ backer in the waiting, Brisbane have support from Govt & Basketball Qld.

Ummm.... there won't be many Taipans fans supporting the Crocs... it is a four hour drive away and you could just as easily say that Sydney Kings fans can support the Hawks...
There is no doubt that the Taipans admin will do everything in their power to keep the Taipans on board.

what about a nth qld team that splits its home games between cairns,tville and maybe mackay ?? N.Q CROCS !!
there will be no second melb team next year,bris and syd will be back in.
canberra and melb2 season after.

there will be a 2nd Melbourne team... 4 maybe 5 big clubs in Melbourne's South East are working together to put something together. The only question is will it be 2010/11 or 2011/2012???
