Interesting to see who will rock up to Norwood with the Sapwell connection.

No surprise that King is going to west after taunting other clubs.

Std lightning protocol.

Question....

New Port Power and Crows players get allocated to SANFL clubs to ensure that there is a fair and balanced spread of the more elite players around the league.
Is there anything in place here with ABL clubs and the Sixers and Lightning? Wouldn't this ensure that there was an equal balance of players and talent throughout the clubs.

Clearly there would need to be rules in place about exactly how these players are 'employed' by their clubs to ensure that players are sufficiently looked after as well as protecting clubs so we don't end up with the have's and the have nots. This way there is still an onus on clubs, but it will balance out the league a lot more.

What are peoples thoughts on this?

This was done in the early days of the Nbl in Brisbane.Called the AAABL.

20 imports were brought out from college and distributed for a season in the local State league.

Then the best became the Nbl imports.
Cal Bruton and Dan Hickett came out that way, plus so many others I cant recall.(Bennie Lewis)
Great for interest in local ball.
I am sure that the expense and the NBL taking off, was why it was stopped.
But the concept was what DID work .
