Solid Competition

Noticing that although it is only the summer season, the div 1 competition on friday nights seems to be good competition on a weekly basis. Granted that some clubs in different ages are still developing but all round it is one of the strongest competitions in a while. It is now not only one or two teams that are dominating, there are a few - and teams arent fearing playing other stronger teams. Comendation to all clubs, this is the benchmark standard for how basketball should be played.

P.S. Under 14Boys Div1 has very good competition - will be interesting to see results come state champs and see whos going to take top spot. At this stage, predicitng Mavericks and Sturt 1-2 (not in any particular order) as well as both teams going to Nationals in Townsville

The U14 Boys competition is quite strong locally but I would suggest that the results of the Schools state team will mean that there is much tougher opposition in Victoria. As I recall they lost by 35. Either way it should be interesting year.

U/14 girls div 1 is not any better.
Sturt and Forrestville are a year ahead in development.

Far from a solid comp I think-go to sporting pulse and run the ladders in Div 1 girls 10 to 18's. In most cases its a two horse race with the exception of 18's where its a touch more competitive.

I agree the girls side of competition is struggling a lot more than the boys competition - however numbers for girls and interest in general is becoming an issue for most clubs
