Fair enough but eddy is all about selling stuff these days. Nothing for free and look what he did for Shaq.

Not entirely true. Eddy is generous with his advice in the right environment and why shouldn't he be able to make a buck. He's got something to offer and people are willing to pay for it.
I found him to be generous with his advice (not so with his passes).
Not sure what the Shaq comment is about but Eddie will give you before and after stats for the improvement in foul shooting percantage for when he was working with Shaq.
Shaq was happy enough with the advice to give him a championship ring.

In 2001, while Ed was coaching Shaq, Ed entered a gym to prepare for a shooting competition in which he was entered. He spent about 15 minutes shooting on the hoop he would use the next day. Then he spent about 30 minutes working with some kids who just happened to be shooting around at the other end of the gym.
All the other shooters were focusing on the competition. He handled that in 15 minutes. He could have left to mentally prepare. But instead, he walked down and helped those kids. None of the others, some of whom also made their living teaching shooting, bothered to do so.
