Rating the Imports

This has been probably done before so I apologise if that is the case but if not I would like your thoughts on a discussion I had recently when we tried to rate this years imports. Here is my list.

1. Groves
2. Powell
3. Redhage
4. Farley
5. Ere
6. Abney
7. Tucker
8. Horvath
9. Ellis
10. Wethers
11. Franklin
12. Helms
13. Thomas
14 Chandler ( only saw the 1 game though)
15. Owens
16. Dusty
17. Rowland
18. Elliott
19. Ballinger
20. Mee ( 5 years ago would have been top 3 )
21 Brooks
22. Ya Ya Dia
23. Bailey

With E Scott for the Kings - I havent seen him play.

I too like Groves for the highlights and versatility - can score 30, can have 10 assists.

I would lower Wethers (turnover prone, a bit one-dimensional), put Ballinger in the top 8 or better, and lower Farley.

Top ten would be (in no real order) Groves, Powell, Horvath, Ballinger, Farley, Abney, Redhage, Tucker, Thomas, Ellis.

Horvath should be above Farley.
Ballinger should be in top 10.

See , I dont rate Ballinger. This year most games I have seen him play he has been poor with the hawks mainly relying on Groves , Saville & Campbell. But I noticed a couple of people rate him highly so interesting.West Sydnet are just crap and imports that go there are too. Look at Farley - he had his worse year there. Must just be the enviroment and lack of $$ to attract the big guns.
