Yes i do know, but
1. I need to study and playing does not take alot of my time and,
2. I would rather play and get other things done than be paid $40 for 6 hrs of work, which works to roughly $6.50 an hr.
Not a jpb that i would like to keep on a regular occurence.
And yes i dont want to let others down, epsecially wen they are my friends.
As a matter of fact, I am umpiring instead of doing the door tonight because we are short of refs, so i am giving up what i am meant to be doing for someone else.
So, how am i making a problem Anonymous?

I think Rookie is better off on the court umpiring than behind the counter, as she is better than some of the refs that are there.

Wow, thankyou 'Friend'! Would be nice to know who u r so i can thankyou in person.
Yet, even though i know there alot of problems with umpiring, not just at Pasadena but everywhere, i have alot of faith with the majoirty of refereees out there. They are alot of stress with the amount of games (mostly 5 games a night, have done 6) they do, so some more appreciation for their work would be needed. Im not having a dig at you, just explaining my way.

Thats cool rookie, I don't doubt that the stress of reffing 5 or 6 games takes its toll and we can not expect that all refs are able to maintain such a high level of standard after 4 games, especially when the standard of players is sometimes pretty low. I just think that some refs are better than others and you seem to do a good job! No need to know who i am, just a friend!
