Its funny you should ask because she's sitting in my lounge room as we speak. She saw more doctors today and received x-rays and treatment and it seems that it was just a very nasty sprain. She has to ice it like crazy for the next few days have some rehab and should only miss 2 maybe 3 games tops. But of course we have to see how things go... Don't quote me though, these things have a mind of their own.

wish her all the best - she is a key player and a gret persona.

greta game / atmosphere last night - cream rising to the top - some very cool hands from foley, gahan's inside work was great and erin doing well

can't wait for her to return

add stiles into canberras line up as well - will make them a good unit

Dumb question here - but I thought you weren't supposed to remove the shoe immediatley after the injury. At the game when the injury occurred, she was taken to the bench and the shoe and ankle brace were removed for ice to be applied? Always thought they were to stay on to reduce swelling????

getting ice closer will reduce swelling rather than leave the boot on - from what i saw the management was 100% correct

if no ice the boot can help reduce swelling as it acts like a compression bandage

Get that shoe OFF asap, elevate and ice immediately.
Keeping it iced and elevated over the next few days promotes a speedy recovery.

If talk to player and tests indicate no fracture or break, get shoes and socks off asap, ice 10 mins, then fully compression bandage, ice over the top of bandgae 2 hrly and elevate. Ice 2 hrly next 2-4 days. Take some anti inflams. See someone who knows what they are doing!

Anon, I would be careful with that compression bandage, though.
