Why would anybody play in early January when:

a/ we play 11 months of the year already. And this is actually the only time anybody gets to have off.

b/ you can go play at Eltham at the end of january in the best tournament in Australia.

I think we should congratulate Southern Tigers for wanting to host a tournament in SA.

Yes, we do get a lot of basketball, but for many basketball parents, Morthett vale is a lot closer and cheaper than going to Eltham.

We got to have tournaments that cater for all players.

Lets hope that the tournament is well supported.

The interstate carnivals are for the stronger teams in each state ie the ones who come 1st or 2nd most of the time and there is a need for the other keen teams who are not going away to have that same carnival experience. If you are away-OK- but for those who are not there is a good pre Term 1 competition available. Good initiative.

Eltham is not the best tournamen in Australia and not even the best in Victoria.
We play too many carnivals now is more to the point and we should scrap the horrific norwood easter fiasco which takes away a precious long weekend and on a religious holy day as well.

Give it a go

This is a great tournament for lower the divisions - that otherwise may not get a chance to experience a tournament - for some it may be their first - Mildura in June is another carnival that lower divisions should consider as well!
