We'll here we are, another saturday night game and it's going to be interesting...

How's Brett going to come back???

How are we going to shut down Powell???

Will Copeland continue his hot streak???

Will be Big O have a blinder back in his home town???

Will Wethers tear us a new one???

Which Farley are we getting??

Who will win the big man contest??? Horvath or Pepper??

I've got a feeling we'll go into overtime, with the 6ers winning 108- 103.

Foul count in stupid. 5 to Adelaide, 1 to NZ all within 4 minutes. Could be a long game.

best crowd in years havent heard that noise since 2002,

massive alley best at dome,

disapoiting end,

but one must question the scheduling from the nbl,

havent seen so many dives by a player (powell) since italy v australia in the world cup

I thought about 5500.
Copes to Farley Alley was the best dunk I have ever seen at the dome. Even better than Cortez from a couple of years back.
The place was so LOUD. Agree with Thomo, aint heard it that loud for 4 years.

yehhh i agree, its the loudest ive heard it since 2002, gee Farley really got us pumped in the third and those ch ants of "LETS GO SIXERS !!!!!!!!LETS GO!!!!!!!!!" were electrifying. Good game to watch just unlucky in the end and i thin k a bit tired, although i have to question phils decision to put Maher on in the last quarter with few mins to go, i mean he hasnt played for 5 weeks and clearly wasnt match fit. Any way it was a good game to watch and the Lightning played really well.

What a shame to lose such a great game! That was fun to watch. Let me just say this - I love Willie Farley.

absolutely electrifying atmosphere!!! pity we couldnt come away with the win...farley alley after a perfect pass by copeland really got things rolling...pity it wasnt in the 4th quarter when needed most. NewZealand are a classy team however, i was very impressed with whethers and just cant believe he didnt make the all star team!!!!

and also...was very impressed with coopers game!! huge amount of rebounds and so many crucial blocks especially on whethers early! He also looked a threat on offence!

That alley oop was absolutely awesome...everyone jumped out of their seats screaming. Loudest i've heard the dome in ages, it was rocking. Some quality basketball was played, in the end powell and breakers were just a bit too classy.

The alley oop was awesome and the up and under move that Farley had on the previous (I think) possession was sweet as well.

Some huge misjudgements on Smyth's part. Maher played 5 minutes each quarter and quite clearly not ready to play again. Why on earth was he on the floor in the last few crucial minutes of the game. Last night the Sixers came from behind after he put Ng in where he scored 10 or his 12 points all in the last quarter. Where was he in the last few minutes tonight? Phil, you blew this one. Sure NZ was a quality team, but the Sixers managed a lead of 5 points, they only needed to maintain it.

EC...in regards to Ng, he did struggle out there at both ends of the floor. Henare was too strong for him and Ng just couldn't keep him out of the lane. Sutton did a much better job on him.

-Farleys dunk was awesome! I was sitting behind where copeland was, saw him throw the pass and was thinking, theres no way Farley will be able to reach that, but some how he did! and almost kicked a NZ player in the head while he was swinging round on the rim.

- I'm surprised no one has mentioned Brad Hill, only played about 5 mins early on and had lots of turnovers, i dont want to be one of those guys who bashes all our players..infact i felt sort of sad for him. On one play he was bringing the ball up, had absolutely no pressure on him, went to pass to Copeland and it was easily cut off by Wehters, he on th break and Hill fouls him, he gets the 2, and the ! for a 3 point play.

-Also felt for Maher, didnt look ready to play yet and missed lots of open shots, also got a bit from the NZ defenders and wasnt rewarded by the refs.

-Sutton, although not making much (any) impact on the scoreboard, played well, especially on D.

-Copeland hit some massive threes and stepped up when needed after Farley came off.

Was a great game to watch.

I didnt question Maher being on in the last 3 mins. He got a crucial steal and took a clutch charge - obviously he is rusty, but I think we needed his cool head. As it was, we just couldnt get any offense happening at the end. It was left to players trying to make individual moves, and they didnt come off..

Yea, Farley trying to be too much of a showman in the end, taking it one on one outside the 3-point line, and when the defence stole the ball, he just looked up at the ref as if it was their fault.

FWIW - official crowd was 5012. I actually would've guessed at 5200-5500. Good to see us crack the 5000 mark for the first time this season.

VC fan...Way to ignore the fact that Farley did the exact same thing on the previous possession but scored. As a team we had 15 assists, that should tell you that a lot of our points were scored on one-on-one plays.

great game, was the loudest i can remember in a LONG time, hopefully it shows in any news reports they get some some neutral fans may give it a try. Was annoyed to see brett out in the last few minutes but i guess his class you never know but i would have liked sutton or copes in there. Although we lost was just refreshing to feel that place so alive.
