I think I may have been holding the Breakers back. That's the first time I've tipped against them.

Just finished watching the game. At one point, Oscar was 4/4 on threes. Got his first points taking two technicals for the team, then nailed the threes. Got his final two on a put back coming into the paint from the top of the key.
As with past games, was missing later in the game.
Had a steal, and his two turnovers he wouldn't have been happy with - one was a wide feed into the post, and the other was bouncing off his foot when driving around the top of the key (at a critical point in the game too!).
Still, those early buckets were a strong part of the reason the Breakers were up early and they just needed to weather the customary dodgy third and push on in the fourth.
Henare was a vital contributor tonight, while Olson again had a quiet showing (just five points).

Carlos Powell had 10 more shot attempts the henare for 1 less point. Not great signs fom the team, very inconsistant form for a guy that is a big part of there system.
Oscar was great in the first half- again, but his team arent getting him the ball enough. Was 5/8, 4/7 3's, surely check the radar and keep shooting! Luckily for him the limited attempts he gets are going in. His rebounding has been up, so he is finding otherways to contribute when he is forgotten about offensively, and grabbed a big defensive rebound down the stretch which forced the Bullets to start fouling.

thanks for the break down, isaac,
do you think theres a specific reason for the late game fade out by him ? interested to hear your thoughts on it

Have you watched any of the games yet? Doesn't really get open looks and tends to get the ball too far out to create anything for himself (has a limited repertoire). Team tends to move away from the game plan a little I think when the pressure is on.
When they play as a team, they will be capable of beating most sides. Just beat a full-strength Brisbane after a batch of games. Only lost by three to the Hawks in Wollongong. Almost beat the (admittedly injury-hit) Kings. Yet also moved away from a team game and got beaten by the Pigs and soundly by the Cats.
Will be an interesting season.

yeah have missed the games unfortunetly due to work,
but its good to see NZ getting better its only going to make the league better,
still its good to get a inside perspective on how oscars doing,
would be interesting to know his thoughts on there set up , facilities etc. cause we dont hear much about it apart from commentators now and then when they get off there sydney bias.
thanks for the update

Have only heard positive things - he really likes and respects the coach(es), says the club is run very professionally, have heard good things about the owner as well.
I think there are challenges for the team having three new faces (SG, SF, PF!) being looked to for significant input as starters, so we'll see how that goes.
