NH - CD-ROM Drive Problem

I went to play a CD in my CD-ROM drive earlier, but the drive seems to have disappeared. I checked the hardware properties, and it seems to still be there, but the following error message accompanies it:
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

Anyone with any computer knowledge know how I can fix this problem?

In device manager right click on the CD-ROM and select update driver.

If no change, in device manager right click on the CD-ROM and select scan for hardware changes.

Hopefully, this helps.

Right-click My Computer > Properties.

Choose the Hardware tab and then click Device Manager.

Expand the branch of DVD/CD-ROM drives.

Right-click the hardware device in question (CD, CD/DVD, whatever) and try disabling then enabling it. Or uninstall it and try reinstalling it. Be careful if your installation material for the drive is on a CD...

Problem is solved. The drive had actually become unplugged internally somehow. Thanks for the other tips though Sturty and Isaac.
