Oscar unavailable for World Champs?

There's a quote from Goorjian towards the bottom of the this article that suggests that Oscar was unavailable for selection for the Boomers side. Is this correct? Talk about club loyalty, I thought flying back from NZ was a big deal!!



The next tier of Boomers, including Luke Schenscher, Neil Mottram and Oscar Forman, were also unavailable.

"It was really a devastating hit not to have Andersen and Nielsen and Glen Saville, down to Mottram, Forman, Schenscher," Goorjian said.

Oscar had an injury at the time and thought that a Boomers training camp would not be the best idea.

Its a pity, because he has since recovered and is playing very well in some tough preseaon work with the Breakers. Would have caused some difficult matchup problems for some of the teams.
