The referee appointments for this Saturday's game shave been released on the internet.
Women - Haines, Filmer
Men - Weiland, Clover
Emerg - Durant, Maidment
Interesting appointments - what will happen for the finals??
What do others think??
I would have thought it would have been the other way around but i guess filmer did forestville men on saturday night, so they decided to put him on a different team. Perhaps they will change it up for the GF. I am a little surprised Clover got in in front of Durant but it would have been a close call, perhaps Durant is paying for his off court behaviour - I doubt that we will ever know though
or that clover is wnbl listed and durant isnt......

wrong John has done at least two or three seasons of wnbl.
durant has done seabl at best.
imo good appointments - the top four have good skills and importantly good communication

attending the reserves finals last night, i noticed that Nathan Durant plays for Norths reserves, correct me if im wrong, but wouldnt him umpiring North Abl games be a conflict of interest??

Nathan does not ever receive north adelaide aba games.....
other umpires in the aba have all played for different clubs in the past but they distance themselves from the clubs now for this very reason.

His behavior is an absolute disgrace. How young ref's are meant to look up to him when this stuff happens in a joke.

he should be judged on how he umpires not anything to do with coaching north juniors.
besides if he did something over the top the umpire coaches would report him
imo he was unlucky not to make the top four this season, but John C deserves it....

all academic really if Benn hadn't broke his leg, Clover & Durant wouldn't have made it but John caught a 'lucky break' and a well deserved one at that.

Nathan was at Westminster (where I am UIC) coaching about 3 wks ago.
I did not have a problem with any of his actions. If Nathan asked a question of the referees, he asked in a polite, courteous manner and did not get on "his high horse".
And when he addressed me after the game, again, his did so in a polite, courteous manner.

Don't get me wrong. I love Nath like a brother.
I have scene him coach many times and now he is on the wnbl panel maybe he won't treat the young ref's the way he has in the past. For example. Classic this year.
