Team USA wins in Las Vegas - also plays hoops
The US team has wiped the floor with its 2004 Olympics conqueror Puerto Rico in a couple of practice matches.

- Coach K was BOOED by Las Vegas crowd, possibly for his Duke team beating the UNLV team in the Final Four WAY BACK IN 1991. That's like 15 years ago.
I will be intrigued to see how this team goes at the Worlds - they only picked players who could commit to a three-year program culminating at Beijing 2008, and if they don't win in Japan later in the month, the questions about whether this long-term approach is the way to go will come thick and fast.
