Madgen and Gerlach profiled

To help bring the Sixers and club basketball closer together, we're profiling a few of the players likely to be attending the Port Lincoln pre-season camp on adelaide36ers.com.

This might fill in the gaps for Sixers fans who see a development player at the bottom of a boxscore or at the end of the bench, but don't know much about them or why they've been chosen.

These are the guys who train with the 36ers and work for development spots, while also representing their junior club in the ABL.

Why is Madgen going to pre season when he has already signed with a college and is leaving to go over there soon? seems like a waste of a spot when they wont be able to access him yet anyways.

I can't give you an answer, but I can suggest a reason: one day he'll come back from college and if he's on the NBL radar, then it won't have hurt for the 36ers to have kept him involved as much as possible.

Alternatively, who would you put in his place that might've been otherwise overlooked?

In the interest of getting some talk going in this thread, would Molitor be a chance this year or down the track? Strikes me as having the height and shooting ability to try developing, but others would know more about him.

I would like to get special agent Dayle Hinman to do a profile of these guys.
They both have that googly eyed nervous twitch and seem a little 'country' in a Deliverance type of way.

Might be worth adding some pics if you can fins them on the 2 guys profiled.
Until last year i had no idea what Madgen looked like as i had not seen him at ABL level .
The Gerlach Ginger nut hair-do was easy to spot however ;)
