Best street courts in Adelaide

1) the mythical city hoop that the imports play at (who knows where it is?)
2) the hole
3) the cage
4) the trim
5) star of sea beach court

if you know of better courts give the address so we can have some general bball culture in this country.

Also can someone tell me exactly where all these courts are situated?

The only ones I know of are the 8 foot rings down at the brighton beach, with the concrete to play on only really a 3 point arc size.

Wakefield street on the weekends. Most times it is hard to get a court cos they are full. Good for a full court game if there is enough players, but the standard varies. Don't go there in school holidays though cos they (CBC) take the rings down.

Raab, are they the ones that have 2 full courts and spring loaded rings and are a part of a church?

If they are the ones you are talking about they are easily the best in the Adelaide. Strict rules for playing there though, understandable seeing they are in a very quiet street and the residents don't want noise 15 hours a day. I've never seen anyone else there though.

Nah the one that is at the church down brighton way is only 8 foot high, gets a nice work out. I'm down there often in summer with a few of the boys.

Hmm... in actual fact u said 2 FULL courts? where's that at? The ones im talking about are semi circle courts, spring loaded 8 foot rings with chain net. Theres one at the church on jetty rd brighton, and theres one along the beach front. Strict rules for playing here, tho you can usually play till 10pm, till the security come and put a lock on the ring. This is where I usually play.

Raab is talking about the ones that are actually on the Brighton Secondary School grounds. Back in the day (bout 1-2 years ago) these courts got a fair nice run. 2 Full size courts. I don't see many people playing down there these days, but they're always good for a game.

the hole gets my vote. just round the corner from the dome, full court. probably a tad taller than 8ft, but still does the job. for some half court action, i suggest the court at West Lakes Shore primary school. a tad under 8ft, but is quite good on the hands.

THE HOLE it is called THE COURTS. the one near the dome. First discovered by myself (Hoff), sam harvey and regee. Back in the day. 1994. They are still the best STREET courts. PS please cut another hole in the fence for us.

modbury is an untapped resource of street hoops.

There is 'The Forest' which is like a 9 1/2 ft ring it dominates.

There is heaps of other good hoops aswell

im sick of all this 'scrap' talk from the woodville tryhards. Get over yourself. Just because you can change the direction of the possession arrow once in a while, and maybe save the ball from going out of bounds, it doesn't make you good and shouldn't add to your ego.
