Sapphires team named for Oceania Champs


A 12-woman team has been selected to represent Australia at the U22 FIBA Oceania Championships in New Zealand on August 11-13.



The team was selected following a five-day camp in Geelong, Victoria starting last Saturday. The Australian U22 women trained with the Opals throughout the camp, getting experience against older and stronger opponents.



The Oceania Championships will serve as qualification for the FIBA World Championships for Young Women which will be played in Guatemala in August 2007.



Congratulations to all athletes.
