sturt doing well in all grades at the classics - bar u12 girls

looks like the forecats of 4th / 5th sth aussie teams have had some sounds beatings as predicted - still good experience

whats the word from nunawading?

GOOD LUCK / BAD LUCK STORY - lynp @ 09:11 ESST

The first (no doubt there will be others) magical moment of the tournament happened in the first time slot at Nunawading on Court 3 in a Girls Under 14 AR game.
With one and a half seconds left on the clock, Limestone Coast were leading the Sydney Comets by 1 point.
Sydney Comets were awarded a sideline foul and #7 Bedur Alameddin went to the sideline to pass the ball in. #8 Kimberley Avramovski moved into position to take the pass. Coach Lauren yells instructions. "Catch & Shoot".
Kimberley receives the ball with her back to the basket. "Catch & Shoot" was all she remembered.
So, she caught the ball and threw backwards over her head towards the basket.
The crowd was hushed? S W I S H. The ball sails through the ring for a brilliant 3 pointer.
Elation for Syndey Comets and disappointment for Limestone Coast with the final score of 28 to 26.
These 2 teams played a good close game and will make their mark over the remainder of the tournament.
