Bearcats - Pearce and Crothers low minutes?
Can anyone who was at the Norwood v West game explain why both Adam Pearce and Shane Crothers played low minutes?

Both received technical fouls in the first quarter and sat the rest of the game. Crothers threw the ball at the Norwood bench whilst Pearce argued with a referee's call.
Grieger played the young guys for most of the game. They did a good job considering..
In their defence, reffing was sub-par. Anyone who was at the game would agree with me. Third quarter there was at least five calls that had either bench and coaching staff up in arms. The Cooper goaltending/block call was an absolute disgrace...

Agreed. One umpire just didn't know the rule. Cooper tipped the ball off the ring, goaltending called. Should have been play on. Ball ended up with a West player, then goaltending call corrected, and ball given to Norwood? WTF?
Krause enjoyed himself, was able to post up younger guys, and was too quick for the older guys. He was the difference.
If Danny Phillips didn't hit some crazy threes, would have been a 40 point loss.

The referee did get the call wrong but corrected himself after a quick referral from the senior - which was the right thing to do, instead of standing by the call.... So really a corrected error.
The ball at the time of the decision was in dispute with 3 norwood players around it. The west player picked up the ball during the referral, hence not having control or possesion when the call was made or immediatley after. If the whistle had not gone, possesion of the ball would of gone to one of the three norwood players around the ball.
Possibly a situation where the possesion arrow could of been used to determine who should of been given the ball.
The rookie ref had a rough night on what was a hard game with alot of off-ball antics, but got the basics right - protection of shooter and ball handler, verticality, hand checking, screens, rebounding. Struggled with the goaltending call.
Crothers out about 2 min in, and Pearce late in the third was going to make it hard to pull off the win - good on them for sticking to their guns, but maybe just a half for crothers would of served the team better to come back on and play a solid game.
An entertaining contest with the right team winning.

Dan has some lateral ligament damage, & possible torn cartlidge - seeing doc again on Thurs, so we will know more then. He is putting light pressure on it with crutches and coping ok, keeping our fingers crossed.

Crusher was sorely missed, but obviously a discipline call from coach.
Krause certainly played an awesome game and his twin(?), Cooper had some good dunks. Is there a changing of the guard at West?
Some strange calls, but no effect on outcome of game.
Another injury, 3 in 3 weeks for lady Bearcats.

Sad to hear Zaccha :(
Get a 2nd specialist's opinion if any doubts and definite MRI.
Wasn't Krause a sure thing to be in red and black this year?
What a way to play against them then?
Thats if it was the club that stopped the transaction, if it was Krause, then great committment to Norwood.
