I think Dave Bowley
This guy grew up in a house of girls that all played div 1, did SASI, all played state, brought home state championship trophys, now all playing national league. Girls girls girls, all choking up the trophy cabinet, smiling in the paper, etc etc. Meanwhile this guy played div 5 at sturt, on cold lonely nights in empty stadiums, moved to tigers and played div 3 i think, but kept quietly plugging away, for the love of the game. Now finds himself an integral part of an ABL side, and despite the problems with his hips or knees or whatever, will be the first person to throw himself on the floor to rescue a loose ball, the first to defend teammates, and yeah probably the first to punch someone but hell, the boys got passion.
I think that's pretty good.
(Mod: I can see a book deal coming Dave's way with a story like that.)
