No current sixers, but Jacob and Oscar hold their spots.

They have a very full schedule from the end of July thru to the championships in late August.

Anyone think Heal will be added to it in the coming months? hehehe

I would like to see Cattalini in there myself.

Why is Patrick Mills named and not Joe Ingles?? Does anyone think Aaron Bruce has a shot of making the team?

Probably because Mills has had a good SEABL season & seemed to do alright at the U19 World Champs, whereas Ingles has been injured the past few months, and only made his SEABL return last weekend.

My team would probably be :
Bogut (5)
Schenscher (5)
Anstey (4)
Andersen (4)
Nielsen (3)
Saville (3)
Smith (2)
Newley (2)
Bruton (1)

Which leaves backup PG. I don't think Davidson can get the job done at international level. So I'd say that is between Bruce, Markovic & Damian Ryan, none of which I've seen play recently.

I think Sam Mack is past it, though I'm sure he'll probably get a gig!

You should be able to have 12 players at the worlds in Aug. So I'd say Bruce should be going anyway. I would have to say worthington would probably go cos Gorgan Loves him.

they are naming the team the Sydney Boomers with 6 Kings in there, not to mention past Kings.

I also like that there appears to be a large number of kids from the Emus team that won the worlds a couple of years ago, when Bogut had that breakout tournament. He didn't wear any leggings then.

Can someone help: exactly how many are there?

Hoop Addict,

Surely you would be choosing HH as your backup point guard. If not, he might not think that you still consider him a good player!

Patrick Mills is a gun. He's spending time training with Ray Giacoletti (current Uni of Utah coach, Boguts college coach) as well as ripping it up here in Canberra.

He was the only Australian invited to the Nike World Hoops Summit in Memphis last month and did pretty well for himself.

Here is a little read about Mills if interested.

Anon 80325,

HH is out of contention. Try convincing Boy Goorj he's good enough for the squad! I can only pick a team based on those in the squad.

It's a 35 man squad, so I can only assume HH would have been the 36th.

There's always Bejing 2008! :)
