Sixers team in 1997

Can someone give me the names of the 1997 team?

Was a dark period for the Sixers with Dunlap bailing ship leaving Claxton to man the fort, and a crap import who lasted a couple of games.

Didn't qualify for the finals finishing near bottom of ladder (followed next season by Smyth and a premiership).

Darnell Mee, Kevin Brooks, Phil Smyth & Steve Breheny

Vs.

Leon Trimmingham (not at his best), Jeff Brown/Willie Simmons (definitely not at his best!!) & Dave Claxton.

You guys decide which Giants roster you want and let me know. I have the season boxscores for the NBL in HTML format back to the early days. I'd put them online somewhere, but it took me long enough to get the Sixers ones looking bearable!

Also 97 had Brett Wheeler but he left and in 98 he was replaced with Paul Rees.

That SHOULD have been a negative.

The Giants regular-season roster in 1995 was:

Chris Jent
Pat Reidy
Darryl MacDonald
Paul Rees
Rod Johnson
Darryl Pearce
Larry Sengstock
Mark Leader
Matt Shanahan
John Stelzer
Stephen Hoare
Adam Barry

Is that the team? (The list is in order of PPG over the season). They finished third on the ladder; Sixers were fourth.

It wasn't the team.

In 95 that team lost to Perth in the Grand Final.

In 94 they won it against Adelaide, (remember Phil Smyth was still playing then, before the move to Sydney which ended his career).

AHHH so frustrated, repeating facts.

Also if people remember, Chris Jent actually was in the first Houston Rockets championship team in 93-94, (played 11 play-off games) before being recruited by the Giants in 95, replacing Paul Mally, who went down for the season with a back injury. That info should get people's memories going again.
