Foley has agreed to join the Lightning, even deferring a spot with the WNBA's Indiana Fever to play in Adelaide.
Bypassing the U.S. pro league will give Wodonga-born Foley the chance to completely rehab and recover from stress fractures which hampered her senior year at Duke University.
