Academy awards announced

According to the Advertiser this morning (can't believe no-one's posted this yet but then again, you were all probably at the Stag past the 9pm finishing time .....):

Brett Maher Medal (MVP): tie between Forestville's Matt Sutton and North's Michael Zorich.

Bernie Lewis Memorial Award (Most Improved): Woodville's Luke Mapunda.

The awards were presented last night at a gala dinner at the Stamford Grand.

Fantastic night at the Stamford Grand last night, these boys certainly know how to put on a show.
Dean Brogan and Danyle Pearce from the Power, Rob Rose, Aussie cricketer Shaun Tait, Kevin Brooks, Brett Maher, Scott Ninnis, Steve Breheny etc. etc. all in attendance.
One thing, the MC Barry Curtin who does all the Port Adelaide gigs has to be the best in the business, absolutely hysterical.
Not convinced about Mapunda for Most Improved but Sutton and Zorich were probably deserving MVP winners.
Most clubs had a table and were well represented. Got a chance to chat with Paul Bell and their next function they have been speaking to the one and only Andrew Gaze about being the guest speaker. They can certainly count me in for that one. Top night.

why don't you agree with mapunda getting most improved, knackers? why dont you tell us who you think should have gotten it
