Lietuvos Rytas clinched the first place in the Baltic League regular season and finished it with a 31-1 record by downing Nevezis Keidainiai 104-78. Matt Nielsen led L.Rytas with 21 points, Sandis Buskevics added 15, Robertas Javotkas posted a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds while Fred House had 12 points in an easy home win for L.Rytas, which led 51-34 at halftime and never looked back. Zalgiris finished second also with a 31-1 record by registering back-to-back wins over the weekend. Zalgiris outclassed Panevezys 62-93 on Sunday behind 18 points from Simonas Serapinas, but 5 other Zalgiris players scored in double digits. Darjus Lavrinovic had 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead Zalgiris in a 103-53 home win against Dalkia/Nybit on Sunday. Meanwhile, Ventspils is still third at 27-4 by downing Kalev Tallinn 65-84 behind a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds from Marijonas Petravicius. Ventspils visits Livu alus/Liepaja on its final regular season game on Tuesday. Siauliai, Barons and Nevezis are the three other teams which made it to the Final Six that takes place Tallinn next weekend. In other games, Barons topped Valmiera 76-91, Sakalai downed BC Kalev 95-79 and got a huge 62-92 road success over Atletas Kaunas, Nevezis edged Dalkia/Nybit 62-54, while Livu alus/Liepaja crushed Pirita BM 85-69 on Sunday.
