Can I get a A'men!

The sixers are down the TUBE!

Its about time we started facin up to the facts -

1. We got no money!
2. We can only offer short term deals to aging players who only have 1-2 seasons left in them.
3. Head office is so clued up they allow our brightest prospects who have be groomed over the past 3-4years to come out of contract! Jake and O should have been signed up 6-12months ago.

I beg the 6ers not to sign Copeland, Wheeler, Rucker, Rose or anyone else who is pushin the wrong side of 30!

Now that we are in this situation we have the chance to cut back, take a on court hit for the next year or two and get BASA and the whole system re-vamped and stable for the future. 2years of suckin' but getting our shit together off court will give us the opportunity to become a strong legitimate team for years to come.

Treading water with short term player solutions and ignoring the root problems that the organisation has is a sure way to mediocracy that we have all beome to acustom too.

They (BASA) need to sell the 36ers, and then concentrate on running the local basketball.

1. Untrue
2. Possible
3. Perhaps true

Look at this way - a few people have commented that Smyth does well with experienced players. Maybe the roster changes will work? Who knows.

Isaac

1. Correct
2. Correct (As no player in their right mind would take a 2/3 year contract with a club that is in financial trouble with government
3. Incorrect and Correct (Holmes and Forman may and may not have signed again. But signing them before the financial trouble came out would have helped.
