Daws on KG and Cornsey

Can you believe the absolute dribble that Daws came up with tonight on 5aa?
When ask about Joe Ingles you could tell he was lying, competetive offer my ass!
Being offered a spot in the 13 cant be your best offer, surley! Not when other clubs want him to be a main part of their rotation.
Obviously with the news about Oscar, this was what he was talking bout with regards to losing another player or 2 and in my mind didnt sound to care? (watch this space re jacob aswell)
He says that there will be signings but who will this be, the ageing and waste of time, copland and rucker, which would kill brad hills potential development, those two old fogies can only compete in the masters from here on in.
I see no future for thos organisation and am dishartened that CEO plays us for fools. We know the game we arent about foot faults and half volleys!

Please Sell the 36ers to a private party.

I am sure some of the people who were looking at buying the 36ers will have 2nd thoughts and their offers will be a lot lower.

With the player losses, we will be lucky to average 3000 a game next season.

I listened to the interview in my car on the way home from work and I must say, Daws sounded most mediocre. As a CEO, I must admit he was both unconvincing and unpersuasive in the way he gave roundabout answers to what were fairly basic questions. Certainly he is no Steven Trigg when it comes to confidently, positively and credibly answering questions candidly and eloquently.

find a lie detector test n strap up daws to ask if the offer to joe was above the minimum payment to a non development player. thats not competitive..

If he was as good as Steven Trigg, would he be with the Sixers or with a high paying AFL club?

I will ask again, again and yet again...you are kidding me that a ceo is doing all the player deal negotiations? Steven Trigg wouldnt do the player negotiations at the crows....sure he has his photo taken with the player after signed up.....Phil thought Ingles was signed? why wasnt he there handing him the pen to sign with?....Im with BOB KNIGHT....combined ABA all stars for sixers this year and beyond.....and a bag of peanuts for sixers management

In Mike Daws defence
he is coming into a nightmare of a job which has to a certain extent (or seemed to be) or smoke and mirrors.

he arrives in a job then the organisation is put into administration.

Steve Trigg on the other hand can exude confidence the Crows are in a strong financial situation, their board is stable, the play out of a fully owned stadium to packed houses and they are successful on the field. The AFL is a high profile sport - tennis where Daws comes from is a seasonal sport where you really don't hear much from the CEO. You normally hear from the Davis Cup captain the various tournament organisers etc.

Also tennis in Oz has been successful, Molik has been in the top ten, Hewitt has been top ten and was number one for awhile and we have had success in the Davis cup.

Are you kidding.

Tennis in Australia has been going down hill for years.

Without Molik, do we even have a top 50 Female.

Without Hewitt, do we have a top 50 Male.

The development of Tennis has been going backwards. We struggle to beat tennis 'power' national like Croatia and Argentina. What the!

I heard the last part of the interview after I tuned in straight after reading on here that Oscar had left, hoping to hear something about that.

He didn't fill me with a lot of confidence either. His response re Boti's comments about Adelade being 7th on Ingles list of 7 clubs was disturbing. His response was something along the lines of "I don't know where Boti got that from, you can read Hoops SA to see that Boti was being too harsh". What is that supposed to mean?

Blindness to the position is no excuse as I suspect blind freddy, if had done any research on life at BASA and the state of play, it was hardly a secret, would have known the scale of the task and the risks

Basketball is so far from tennis and AFL its not funny...and any comparison with finances and management strength is pretty unfair and pointless

And player negotiations: if I were coaching I wouldn't get within 10 feet of the recruiting processes because, if it goes badly, blame the front office, if it goes well then look to be front and centre, a time honoured tradition

We can only hope the bottom of the hole is getting closer so that eventually the only way available is up!

I can't believe how negatitve you all are. 36ers supporters would have to be the best "band wagon" supporters of all time. When a good decision is made, you are quick to praise all that were involved. But when something doesn't go your way, without knowing any of the details, you are very quick to pick it apart with your "professional" and "experienced" opinions. What a load of crap. Support the club and team through thick and thin, not when it suits you.

I am supporting them. And we are all here discussing this because we care abut the team. Bandwagon fans would have lost interest by now.

so while we bag the ceo and fyi this ceo brought TA out of a HUGE debacle and debt it wasnt instant but do a bit of research online and you can see why its now a 38mil a year profit organisation in this country which funnily enough he was ceo when it was in debt and then still there when it was out of debt,

but onto the point i want to make

Who Hear would put ther Professional Career on the line by taking on what seems to be a Sinking Ship , and RISK never being employed as a CEO again, it took balls to take on such a debacle and from what i understand he was basically begged by the government to do it as they know how good he is,

so, if you think you could do better why didnt you apply when it was advertised, and if you think you can then get of your arse and but your time lively hood and reputation where your mouth (or keyboard) is and do something
