Accumulated margin?

Pardon my ignorance, but what does accumulated margin mean in the tipping competition? I dont really understand? Anyone care to explain? That would be great thanks!

The total margin difference that you have - ie if you are 10 points out one week and the second week out by 8 your accumulated margin is 18. And it accumulates for the whole season

The total of your tipped margins from round to round. e.g., if the margin game is Eastern vs West, you tip Eastern by 5 and they win by 23, your margin is 18. Then, round 2, maybe the margin game is Hamburger vs Pizza, you tip Pizza by 6 and they lose by 2, your margin is 8 and your accumulated margin is then 8 + 18. Got it?
