with the state champs split over two weekends (state and reserves) - surely this would leave more courts and time slots free -
how about letting the under 10s come back in
PS - they would love it and $ revenue instead of idle courts

sorry - I thought the name "district COMPETITION" gave it away
you have taken the moral high ground - but if you want passive ball - go to social or trainings only - mercy rules etc
I asked a teacher about not giving grades at that age - and they kept the kid back that did not want to be graded and promoted the acheivers
yes it is not about winning - but doing your best by competing correctly
the trophy is purely a recognition of the winners efforts

While the theory of Under 10's being run soley for development, in action it simply isn't so.
If it was why do we even bother keeping score? Or having a Premiership Table? Or Finals?
The focus should be on development. And it is up to the clubs and their Under 10 coaches to ensure it remains that way.
I'm not sure how many Under 10 games you've seen recently but going by my own personal experience the coaches and in particular parents who were focused on Development and not winning were very hard to find. Most times they didn't exist.

I agree, its not attactive to see parents competing through 9 year olds.
'upcoming election' you seem the kind of person who prob. knows the scores from your under 10 games dog. The more yous see hoops the more you realise the problems. Why Keep score exactly, dont. Its ludacris to imagine including kids this age in such a competative environment.
