Hunter Pirates

four players from the defunct Hunter Pirates have been offered a lifeline should the licence be transferred to a Singapore consortium. Brad and Larry Davidson, Russell Hinder and Ben Melmeth have been targeted by the new owners, who are expected to take over the Pirates' licence on March 10.

The four have been given permission to negotiate with the Singapore group.

While the Pirates have all but disappeared, the future of the Wollongong Hawks looks safe after seven shareholders pledged up to $2million in funding.

The nbl's $$$ they receive from the teams every year... where the hell does it go??? it def does not go into marketing the game! or the league! you see nothing on the NBL unless you have foxtel.
The league needs to support the clubs from a national marketing standpoint, spend it to make it NBL.
The AFL does an amazing job at promoting its product everywhere! The afl sets up promos that include every team...?
Instead we pay the administrators high 6 figures and look where we are each year...
