are you talking about 'western magic'? they only started last year, so had to start in div 4,the women won the grand final easily and are now in Div 3- hoping to win the GF this season and be put up into div 2 next season. so no they are not a disappearing act.

The Mens Div 4 Team will most likely take this season's GF out ending a Forrestville Hold on the Cup for many years in Div 4

hows the 20's mens doing? they should definately be moving up.
Under 20s mens are going up to div 2. They should hold their own and will most probably take the GF as well.

women doing well, have yet to lose a match. they have 2 players who played state U/16 and u/18 and also played abl.
They are still getting players from other clubs. The only way they will grow is to poach players till they get to where they want to be. It seems they are taking fringe players that still are an important part of any club and adding them to their base core. These players are under the impression they will get somewhere. If they were not good enough to make the top grade in their own clubs they will not make it from Magic as well. All this is doing is moving players around and weakening other teams. I think it would be far better for these players to put in the effort with their original clubs and make themselves better and hense their own clubs stronger. I was one who was willing to give them a go but now I hope they crash and burn.
How are Magic doing?
Under 14 Girls - Grand Final tomorrow - undefeated all season.
Under 18 Boys - Grand Final tomorrow - undefeated all season.
Under 20 Men - Grand Final
tomorrow - undefeated all season.
Under 18 Girls were knocked out in semi's last night but did well to work their way up the ladder into the finals.
All teams will be going up a division next season and will continue to rise if their success continues. It was BASA's ruling they start in lower divisions even though the club nominated them in higher ones.
The players are looking forward to stronger competition next season and hopefully that will stop some of this ridiculous knocking.
Also, last night after Southern Tigers were defeated by Magic in U/18's, the players and supporters were fantastic to the Magic boys in congratulating them and wishing them well for Sunday.
Very refreshing after all the flak we've copped.
Under 20 boys over Centrals by heaps. Div 1 looking retter all the time.
