It got some media attention -- Ch 9 news showed the guys checking out the shark, Hambour throwing up over the side of the boat, and then a brief moment from the scrimmage (Oscar throwing a full-court pass to Darren I think who scored and drew the foul).
Would be smart to hook the Sixers up with the SA Tourism Commission and get them to do some joint promos in other SA attractions...
Anyway, the original plan with the shark was for the team to go down in the cage, but there was a misunderstanding over numbers. The operator had said that 20 was the max, but when they showed up with 20 people, it was explained that to bring the cage along as well, the max pax was 8.
Oh well. Apparently it was a rough ride out there, three players feeling the effects of sea-sickness but a good opportunity to get in the media.
I have heard that one young player excelled, but nothing more.
In the scrimmage, the only numbers that I know were Rychart 29, Holmes 22 (for one team), Ng probably leading the other team, and Forman 13.
Anyone who's seen The Advertiser today will know that Willie Farley arrived in Adelaide yesterday too.
