Ron Nunnerly for me...outstanding on his day and pretty consistant numbers throughout his whole career.

Ron Nunnerly never played defence
his offence boards were double his defensive what is the point of scoring 74 points if your team loses cause the player you were supposed to be guarding won the game for them

Best ABA import for me would be either

Ricky Simpson or Willie Joseph

neither liked to lose and both had a huge work ethic

There weren't too many teams that Willie Joseph played for that did not make it deep into the playoffs.

Ricky - tough on his opponents even tougher on himself.

For entertainment - Billy Fikes

For MVP - Willie Joesph/Ron Nunnerley

Bought for championships - MAtt Elder, Eric Bradley (GF close enough)

Notable mentions to: Shamon Antrum, Leon Trimmingham

Plus the import NCT had that Beames threw out in his first game for dunking in warm ups, that was gold!

"bought for championships - Matt Elder, Eric Bradley"

Yeah you go to all that trouble to get an import of sorts just to wallow in last position or somewhere low on the ladder. Journo wouldn't you think all teams past or present go to the trouble and financial outlay to get an import to improve their team and possibly win???? That is the point of sport

Billy Fikes, Willie Joseph, Ricky Simpson, Jeff Bickmore, Chad Spady.

An import does not send a club broke if the players raise the money for over half the wage.

just depends on how bad you want one and what they can bring to the team but more importantly the club.

I don't know about the best ABA import but one of the worst could have been Sean Houston...

Houston... we definately have a problem... <-- sorry couldn't help myself.

Having said that, he probably did the best dunk i have ever seen in an ABA game. Off his own free throw caught the ball under the rim and lifted it back over for a 2 handed stuff... Amazing.
