Bogut

Why did Bogut get some major minutes over Paul Rogers?

I saw Rogers play for 1 minute in the entire olympics. Why does Brian G think Bogut is better? Rogers is a superior rebounder and plays better D.

What are peoples opinions on this?

Rogers was pathetic in the Olympics! He played terrible. He was on for like 10 and a half minutes in one game and still managed to pick up 3 f*cken fouls!!! Bogut was in form, and was doing his job. THAT'S WHY!!!

Cheers!!!

You can fault Boy Goorj in many areas whilst in Athens, but playing and starting Andrew Bogut, you cannot.

I believe he lead Australia in points, rebounds, blocks and FG% (at least up until Shane Heal decided that he needed to send himself out with a bang in the final game).

There's no way that Paul Rogers does any of that, and he doesn't hold the hopes of Australian basketball for the next decade either.

Bogut deserved the minutes he got. I think Rogers deserved more too -- he picked up a string of fouls, but he was 4/5 FG in very limited time.

Rogers probably could have had a few more minutes, to be used as a big body to bang with the larger Euros.

Bogut deserves every minute he got, he's the future of our country. He was also probably our best, or 2nd best player in Athens.
