One thing as I understand it the two guards in the West leading the votes are Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant. 81 is a freakish score not to be repeated but it does show a number of things. One, the Lakers are a one man band. Isaac you are the stats guru here, I noticed on the Sonics/Suns game, that Raja Bell and Shawn Marion reached 30 points, and other players reached double figures as well. So, yes the Lakers will reach the play-offs, if they play the Suns in the first round they'll get done.
Two, the Raptors are pretty abysmal at defence, obviously unable to handle that kind of level of skill. Chris Bosh needs to find a new team if he wants to realise his full potential.
The third is well, Kobe Bryant's skill level is freakish, in a good way. But LOL, he'll have to accommodate Steve Nash in the All-Star game.
There, i would consider that pretty fair, in any case, I wouldn't pick Kobe Bryant, he's too individualistic, someone like Ray Allen, would make a better fit, only because the guy seems to have a three-point hand any player is envious of and the West's style of play could be used around his three-point hand and a transition style similar to the Suns.
