March Madness Aussie Watch

Procter had a great start for Duke this morning and I'm looking forward to seeing how Alex Condon goes for Florida.

Any other Aussies I should be keeping track of?

Reyne Smith had an unfortunate end to his college career, re-injuring the ankle that's caused him problems recently as Louisville lost to Creighton. Still an elite season and college career for him

34 points, 8 assists, and somehow 2 blocks, for Georgia Amoore as Kentucky scraped into the 2nd round

Do we only have Amoore & Poa in the tourny (on the women's side)?

Just about to start a thread on NCAA myself !

Condon has been doing really well.

Amoore also.

Pointy end at present though.

Not many upsets this year -

11 drake over 6 missouri

12 mcneese over 5 clemson

and in women no dramatic upsets

Just realised that list doesn't include Isla Juffermans at Louisville either, so there might be others missing too.

A big tourney could See Amoore go very high in the draft.

That would be perfect, Weedy.

Much better chances of seeing those 2 at the end than St Mary's, and I don’t know which other teams have Aussies or Kiwis in them.

Hope you don't mind me including kiwis as well...

Aniwania Tait-Jones (University of California - San Diego)
Charlisse Leger-Walker (UCLA)
Mason Whittaker (American University)
Lilly Parke (Fairleigh Dickinson)
Waiata Jennings (Baylor)
Ben Gold (Marquette)
Tafara Gapare (Maryland)
Lilly Taulelei (Iowa State University)

Not great results for them. Niwa tait Jones got in foul trouble and his team lost by 3. Ben Gold shot well for the perimeter but his team lost by 9. Gapare didn't get many minutes, no points but his team won through

How did Condon play today @ballinfan? Does anyone know if there's a site for stats through March Madness?

@Orangelemon Watched the game earlier,
Alex got 5 points 7 rebounds 5 assists, only one field score a slip from their 5out, then they just always collapsed on him and then Walter Clayton Jr went nuts...
the other scores were in the last minute or so from the foul line when he missed a few, but apart from that defence passing all very very solid.

Gators are the first seed in the West, so yeah gun team who might even meet The Blue Devils in the final as they i would imagine are the first seed in the East.

i have not yet found a comprehensive site for all the game stats
will keep looking.

Great to see TCU women in new territory - never gone this far.

Just hope they get no injuries and their main movers can keep it up. Last game bench didn't play much.

"The four No. 1 seeds in the 2025 NCAA men's tournament have turned out to be the four left standing. No. 1 overall seed Auburn joined Duke, Houston and Florida in the Final Four with a win over Michigan State Sunday. It's the first time since 2008 that all four No. 1 seeds will make up the Final Four and just the second time ever."

In the women's, it’s three top seeds plus uConn.

Gators have won it in two. 65-63 !

Loved what Alex has done this tournament. 12 and 7 in the final
And his second half strength and physicality against Johni Broome in the semi was instrumental.
With his Draymond Green style of skillset in his 6'11" frame
Pistons Wizards Lakers and Warriors are alll now being tipped as possible destinations.

He is on all the projection boards.
He moved up most of the boards from the second round into the first round after the Auburn game.
But as others declare he could go down again.
But yeah
