Hawks v Phoenix Game 3

Going to be hard to top last night's game. This is either going to be another squeaker or the Hawks are going to win in a blowout.

Given my record, everyone should now go and put money on Phoenix :)

can't see the Hawks blowing it after the year they've had, should get it done fairly comfortably

Pressure on hawks, SEM nothing to lose, I'm smelling an all Melbourne GF. As King speaks of not letting the ball stick and they follow that instruction, they’ll be hard to beat. Hawks need Froling to stand up, Kell got perform as well. Should be a cracker, SEM by five.

Stop saying "Trey Kell the Third." He's not the third Trey Kell. He's the first Trey Kell.

Great start by hawks, Hurt is such a defensive liability, still early days though. Hopefully Ayre finds a team next season where he's in the guard rotation on all games.

Hunter only one trying to play D, could be done by halftime. SEM can't chuck it in ocean and hawks can’t miss. Unbelievable what is happening here. Hurt gets first points with a put back.

Hawks to win it all.

Agree hoopie but what impresses me most is their unselfishness. If someone's hot they'll feed them ball and ride it. If the stars are cold they'll share the ball to get good looks and trust players like Lee and blanchfield. And they play hard D

We could do with a bit more of that in the NBL, Kolzee. Great to bring in stars but ... I'd rather watch an unselfish TEAM.

SEM players should hand back pay cheques for tonight. Probably the worst performance by a professional team in the history of the NBL. Even the Geelong superpussies played harder than that. Insipid, gutless, weaker than piss, absolute disgrace.

SEM covered up their defensive weaknesses well most season but Illawarra have picked them apart. Sobey starting total iso didn't help but it’s totally crap at both ends. Hurt ahead of Doolittle in nbl first team, please, lol.

I think Blanchfield's good seasons have pretty much mirrored the ability of his coach each year.

Show him confidence and run plays for him and he is a solid rotation player.

Maybe goorj is watching and taking note! Nah he's penalty still looking for the shooting guard he was supposedly missing...

Part of the problem hoopie is teams signing so called 'fringe' nba players. They've normally got the talent but their objective is different to the team

30 up and Grida, Tatum and Hickey make absolute fools of themself.

Tatum is an embarrassment. Sooner he is gone the better.

Hickey runs at a ref and then pushes him. Grida smacks a guy in the head on a layup and then taunts him.

What's the playoff high score record in the modern 40 minute era? And what's the highest deciding game margin in a tied series?

Fair chance both records fell I reckon

Grida what a w@nker though. Think they just lost a few neutrals who otherwise would've been barracking loudly for them to beat United

North Melbourne 165 def Perth 110 in the 1989 semis.

SEM threw everything they had at the Hawks in game 2 and that was probably their grand final. They also showed all of their hand to Tatum and he had them figured out for game 3.

38-31, then they rattled off 48-0 in eight minutes before eventually reaching a 97-39 lead.

I thought it was a first-quarter explosion but I'm obviously conflating it with a different game.

Grida carried on ridiculously and I wouldn't be disappointed in the slightest if he got suspended. His unnecessarily hard foul on Wieskamp was not only pointless, but potentially could have hurt him and then to top it off he stands over him like a d-head when they're up by about 30.....Just really classless and immature behaviour. Didn't like the way Tatum carried on about it to the refs either, enabling his douchey behaviour. The whole thing was very unimpressive.

I'm glad the Hawks made it through, but could have done without that scene.
