NBA Trade Deadline 2025

New Orleans has traded Brandon Ingram to the Raptors for Brown, Olynyk, a first round and a second round pick.

Lakers have traded for the Hornets' Mark Williams, giving up Knecht, Reddish, a 2031 unprotected first, and a 2030 swap. Charlotte have now given up both their blandly named centres and look thin up front.

Kings got Valanciunas from the Wizards.

Bucks got Kuzma, giving up Middleton and a rookie AJ Johnson.

As I mentioned on the other thread, disappointed in my Hornets for getting rid of Williams, really thought he'd be a key piece of our future core.

As Issac mentioned our centre rotation is now 2-way Moussa Diabate (a beast but should not be a starting NBA centre) and 39 year old Taj Gibson.

Hoping tomorrow we make a trade sending Vasa Micic and Cody Martin somewhere for a centre

I dare say the Hornets trading Williams is entirely down to them not having faith in him injury wise and not wanting to tie up salary cap long term when his rookie deal is done on a guy who is unavailable 50% or more of the year. I'm a fan of the guy though, so hopefully he can turn it around.

Yes his injury woes have been frustrating, and his D has been questionable, still would've given him a few more years though

Lakers had better hope Luka signs with them. Would say they have an advantage with the Lakers name, but that team looking pretty thin. Williams finally gives them a centre, but essentially 2 firsts (counting Knecht as one) and a swap is risky as hell. IF Luka goes, LeBron either retires or goes ring chasing for final season. Then the Lakers have Reaves, Rui, Williams and not much leftover. The Lakers and Phoenix picks will be major assets Charlotte are really starting to put together a lot of draft assets. If they could get a stack of picks for Ball they should do it, he's too injured to be reliable.
Miami trade was good, lose a distraction although can I call him a Heat legend for his playoff heroics. If Wiggins buys in he'll fit in defensively and saves them salary. They'll go after a star to pair with Bam and Herro, would the ultimate reclamation projects in terms of fitness be Luka or Zion? Pelicans looking to move on from Zion, wouldn't take much, and Riley really wants Luka. Imagine either of those two fit alongside Bam and shooters. And there's that tax advantage Miami has as well.
Don't know how Jimmy will go with Draymond, they'll also have to decide how much Kumingas worth.
Bucks get healthier but lose a bit of their chemistry.
Ingram is a bit of a meh trade. Will the Raptors pay what he wants especially after ditching Siakam and OG. It'll turn them into that dreaded 5/6 EC seed, good enough to make playoffs every year now but making the second round would be a good year. Probably needed one more lucky lottery pick.
