Brisbane Bullets v Cairns Taipans 17 Jan

As I read the remaining 6 games for the Bullets, I see a best scenario of 4W/2L and 6th spot, a possible 3 to 3 and 6th spot(/), a likely 2 to 4 and playing for pride.

Cairns are already playing for pride and playing well of late.

Tonight a must win for the Bullets and %age would help. Return of Cook and Harrison (hopefully) a big boost but Adams needs to deliver or his signing may have been a waste. Wasn't against his signing but expected more from him.

So, hopefully a close one with Brisbane keeping hopes alive and Cairns doing just enough to retain some pride. Bullets , just!

Bookies can't split them. Neither team good enough to just show up and expect a win.

Brisbane a bit more on the line and at home, but Cairns can get this one. Then hopefully come back home and knock over Adelaide on Sunday after a long trip from Perth.

Not tipping as it's probably to close to call, I’d like to bullets win, I’ve liked their season by having a crack. A top quality game would be nice with a last shot winner.

Cairns by 14, No Harrsion + Cook on one leg vs a full strength Cairns.

Cairns biggest deficiency is defensive rebounding and they only have to deal with Bannan on the glass with the injury list. Pretty easy call this one not sure what the bookies are drinking but I'd have Cairns 1.40 Bris $3

Did not know that, TBD, re Harrison out. Does tip it a bit. Cook may be a worry, but a couple in the team who can cover for him.

Still think Brisbane.

Cairns rebounding has been an abomination pretty much all season. If they get anywhere near 50/50 on the boards they should win.

Not a very riveting game, neither side playing any real D. Edwards rolling on offence. Bullets really injury stricken.

I generally like Arianna Prather, but for a professional she really should be better.

But at least we've progressed from the "Pythons" to the "Typin's"

Cairns could put the bullets out business in the 20 minutes and take the 50k.

Cairn blue it, only 20 that quarter. Need minimum of 30 this quarter to try set a target.

Agree Dunkman. I was thinking 115.

Got to 111, might go very close to the 50k. Brisbane gone now, so many injuries in there season, it can happen. Lucky taipans were chasing the 50k to give us some interest.

Not sure it will hold, but geez I'd love for Cairns to get that $50K bonus and give the rest of the league a big FU :D

Pure embarrassing regardless of injuries. No heart no soul no team structure.need major redo of team top to bottom. Not sure schullerr is up to it.time for change.

Good total for the snakes. Definitely big enough to win it.
No one else has the Bullets as their nominated shootout opponent so that helps their chances.

You'd think it's between Cairns and Illawarra at this point.

Is there an updated summer shootout ladder anywhere?

Agreed koberulz. I can't see any of the other home teams giving up that many.

Illw a chance against Cairns but not even sure they'll go chasing it. They might have their eyes on a bigger prize.

Was at the game, not convinced Sheuller is up to it, outside of GV and Dmac seems to be passengers in that coaching staff you can just see from the way they interact with players during the game.

Game plan despite injuries wasn't up to scratch! Yes no Harrison but it wasn't Groves that beat BNE it was the guards which they had plenty of.

Team structure needs to be called into question having recruited poorly for positions, letting go players that its clear they needed now and not the high profile ones.

Be very suprised if he lasts this season regardless of excuses, too many heartless effort games.

Brisbane were 5-2 in the seven games before Batemon's injury, beating Perth, Melbourne and SEM, I think you're being a little harsh. Injuries have really derailed their season.
