Last week
Brisbane v Sydney, Sat 4th Jan.
"Brisbane, Brisbane, Brisbane, Oy, Oy, Oy!"
Bullets to feature new import PG, Josh Adams, as injury replacement for James Batemon. Josh had a successful season with the JJ's so both parties should be on the same page very quickly (and will need to be!).
The Bullets are 2 losses (Illa & JJ's) and 1 win (36er's) past 3 games.
Brisbane was putting together some promising games and results 'til the injury to Batemon (and a back-"twinge@ to Prather) saw consecutive losses. Thankfully, Prather's okay and Adams should restore Brisbane's balance. If all goes well, Brissie are in with a chance. Can't ask for much more than that.
The Kings are 1 loss (MU) and 2 wins (Cairns & NZ) past 3 games.
Sydney, too, has signed a new guard, Lamonte Turner, but he won't be here for tonight's game(?). Turner was signed as a result of Galloway's injury. And, I am hoping that the Kings' current roster of guards are pissed off and play accordingly. It also encourages me that Goorj is always so worried and that he, the GOAT (or, goat) HC in the universe, "can't work it out".
After last night's big win, Cairns 108 / Illa-gong 105. Top versus bottom, anything's possible. So why not Bullets over Kings?
