Brisbane v Sydney, Sat 4th Jan.

"Brisbane, Brisbane, Brisbane, Oy, Oy, Oy!"

Bullets to feature new import PG, Josh Adams, as injury replacement for James Batemon. Josh had a successful season with the JJ's so both parties should be on the same page very quickly (and will need to be!).

The Bullets are 2 losses (Illa & JJ's) and 1 win (36er's) past 3 games.

Brisbane was putting together some promising games and results 'til the injury to Batemon (and a back-"twinge@ to Prather) saw consecutive losses. Thankfully, Prather's okay and Adams should restore Brisbane's balance. If all goes well, Brissie are in with a chance. Can't ask for much more than that.

The Kings are 1 loss (MU) and 2 wins (Cairns & NZ) past 3 games.

Sydney, too, has signed a new guard, Lamonte Turner, but he won't be here for tonight's game(?). Turner was signed as a result of Galloway's injury. And, I am hoping that the Kings' current roster of guards are pissed off and play accordingly. It also encourages me that Goorj is always so worried and that he, the GOAT (or, goat) HC in the universe, "can't work it out".

After last night's big win, Cairns 108 / Illa-gong 105. Top versus bottom, anything's possible. So why not Bullets over Kings?

Good summary, I'm also hoping Bruce and co are pissed off but probably would then let Goorj say I told you so. Kings also won two nights ago in a great come back over SEM. Now if the refs look after bullets like they looked after kings in that game, they are a chance. I was very certain Sydney had the best team at season start, lot of doubt since then though. I would really like a bullets win but just don’t see it, kings to put foot down in the last and win by 8 plus. I hoping to be wrong like most of tipping.

Neither Vickerman or Buford could really stop Josh Adam's in that 2022 post season. There is that famous footage of Vickerman telling his players during a time out that Adam’s was not passing anything which was true but they still couldn’t stop him. Will be huge for Brisbane if he is still the player he was. Was always hoping he and Roth might reconcile their differences one day and he could return to the JJs.

JJs wanted someone who produced high-level more consistently, and did the team things better. Adams was great on his night, but could cost you games on other nights. Level out his performances and overall he was a good but not great import. Only take his best and he was completely unstoppable!

That is Adams look ie like has just had a bucket bong.....just like he come straight off a farm from out the back of no where but can out and out hoop.

Josh Adams was such a contrast to Josh Magette who was cerebral - Adams plays on instinct and skill.

Really looking forward to watching him play and hope Brisbane can push if not beat Sydney

Goorj popping veins on the sideline. Commentary been very good. I agree some of the calls are very soft. He's whining kings are not getting the same calls, very short memory after what happened in Sydney the other night. Don’t let coaches bitch to the refs, it’s boring. Good game happening here.

When was the last time a team had 3 guys with double doubles in one game? Happened tonight for Brissy with Prather, Harrison and Bannan

Great game.
Oliver and Cooks might be shorter than most 4-5 but were dominant. Goorj gets to the refs imo to get calls, just like the old days.
Bullets fought hard just couldn't make a shot, Cook and Prather, bad shooting night. Just don’t have as much top end talent as kings. Free throw count against them was huge, 31-15.

Not that he plays, but why no Rocco tonight? Injury report states injury as 'TBC'?
