Confirmed by Brisbane, a season ending hamstring injury, big shame. Brisbane actively searching for a replacement import

My brother told me this yesterday and said it was a hamstring injury, I said are you sure? Season ending hamstring injury? The GF series ends in what mid-March, that's some sort of crazy hamstring injury.

Zodiac clearly had probably needing surgery if made this call. Definitely not a little twinge. Real pity as was really liking his game. 3 man counter punch with cook and prsther.

The fact he'll have only played 16 games this season will make his 51 piece look even more strange reflecting back on it years from now. One of the most brilliantly random performances in recent NBL times

Jeremy Kendle or Lamar Patterson until a replacement is found? Both in Brisbane atm.

Well, that's a real bummer.

Firstly, for James B. Just as all his hard work was bringing him just rewards he blows his hammy. Devastating to think that he can't see out the season.

And then, there's the team. Making some real inroads after a shaky start. I still don't see the Bullets as a GF contender this season but are well placed to make the final adjustments for a genuine shot next year. I am hoping that Batemon can be part of that again.

However,Brisbane are already on the look-out for an import replacement, as they should be. They are too well placed to let slip what has been achieved. So what do they look for? A like-for-like, a 5 to help Harrison (Rocco will be gone), something else?

A like-for-like. Not saying that Batemon is the best guard around or available but I will say that he is possibly the best guard for Brisbane. All 3 imports show great chemistry, play well together, and with their Aussie teammates. IMO Batemon belongs. Getting a like-for-like might actually make that point and management could compare and decide. If they stick with the "new" guy, he'll need to be THE best guard around and avail.

A 5 to help Harrison. We all assume that Rocco is going to the NBA and as he is currently 1st back-up at the 5, will need to be replaced. Further, with the Bullets showing some grunt, they will need more than Rocco in any sort of finals series. Any other current back-ups at the 5 are injured (Bairstow & Deng). Maybe try a 5 import now. Assuming that the imports are all happy to hang around, then the new season allows Brisbane some tantalising choices.

Something else. ?.

Here's the current roster;

5. Harrison/Rocco/Bairstow(injured)
4. Bannon/SmithMilner
3. Prather/Adel
2. Batemon/McDaniel(both injured)
1. Cook/Norton/White/Naar
A couple of DP's.

PS. Just hearing that James B said that he wants to be back. I hope that Brisbane look after him like they did Prather.

Batemon did sign a 2 year deal with the Bullets but that second year might be a team option.
