Kings v bullets 4.30 aedt

As Bogut said when asked if kings would win, depends on which kings turn up that at least they will play D. Can bullets imports keep it going, Harrison been a monster, Cook shorter but very athletic, Oliver is a beast. Kings far deeper and should get this by around ten, hopefully the competitive bullets turn up.

Oliver on two fouls, Harrison is just getting better and better. Just picked up second foul.

25 each at quarter, early lead by bullets eaten up when there bench came on. Rocco got long way to go but Brisbane not making it easy for him as they never pass it to him. Adams again great.

After a poor start to season, the three Brisbane imports have great, should keep them and get a stronger bench.

I'm old enough to remember when Prather was a mediocre import.

So am I, he's certainly learned a lot Casey. Noi is a chucker. Cooks get a lot soft calls, luckily his free throw shooting is 50%.

Good fight from bullets, just need more bench depth. Kings just starting to roll. JJs, kings and hawks got this. All else playing for places.

Just imo I think Brisbane need an import 4 to help Harrison inside rather than 2 guards that are kind of the same. Maybe they thought Adel would take that role, but having an experienced big to help Rocco if/when Harrison gets a few fouls would be more valuable than the 2 inconsistent guards, even though they are a lot better than the start of the season.
And Prather looking like the steal of the season, recent form would see him climbing the MVP ladder, hopefully for Brisbane he stays healthy. And Norton looks to be very solid at the point, nothing flashy but dependable.
Only caught a bit of the second half, but is Brian getting better with his rotations or because of injuries? And Oliver being massively underutilized, way too good to be getting crumbs most games.

Dunkman, I do sgree ith the state of the bench, noting how little (in stats) they provide. Would Bannan, MacDaniel, Bairstow, and Deng getting healthy and rejoining Rocco, Smith-Milner,(Isaac) White and Naar on the bench do the job or do you want upgrading anyway?

With everyone available, Bullets would look like this (plus a couple of DP's)

Harrison/Rocco/*
Bannan/Smith-Milner/Bairstowe
Prather/Deng
Bateman/MacDaniel
Cook/Norton/White/Savage

*Would like more back-up for Harrison, obviously an Aussie, but who? Smith-Milner, at a pinch (to save money)? Motem?

Norton is a starter, Deng, jury is out, I also think Prather at the four is better than Bannan and Bannan to bench. McDaniel to start at three. Motom looks old in Japan, his team has hardly won a game, he can still score but imo probably not nbl level D. I've been critical of Rocco but thought he was reasonable today, they just don’t get him the ball, he there ready and the guards just dribble it, White the worst culprit.
Harrison, Rocco
Prather, Bannan
McDaniel , Prather
Cook, Bateman
Norton, Bateman
I’d probably keep smith Milner and Bairstow and see who else is available.

I can't believe people still have faith in Deng Adel. He is dead set one of the worst players in the whole league. Absolutely useless. A truly abysmal shooter and a shocking defender. It was surreal how bad he was at the Hawks. I still remember that one game where he missed like 18 shots in a row. It’s a mystery why anyone thought he was a good acquisition for Brisbane. It just makes them seem clueless.

I thought it was a bizarre signing too. I remember at the time Goorjian and the Hawks signed him the NBL banged on about what a coup it was. Adel was supposedly on $600k+ that season and averaged like 6 ppg he was so bad the Hawks released him late in the season.

Some people got sucked in by his pre-season form with the Bullets but as soon as the real games started he went back to being crap again.
