United v Hawk 7.30 aedt on Friday 13th

Should be an absolute beauty, no Goulding should make hawks winners here. Tatum showing he's a smart operator by getting Peatling into the starting 5 and playing minutes, I’ve said it before and Roth understands it, you win nothing with out these types of players, every team needs a backbone.

Agree 100%. Players who complement your stars without needing the ball.

Hawks by 3 at QT. Rob Loe balling but Melbourne have given up a million second chance opportunities

Does anyone else feel that Jack White is looking a lot less confident and relaxed these days? He's hesitant on 1on1s, and his shot looks stiff.

Fingers crossed that he comes good soon because the NBL and United need him to show his best.

This is terrible officiating. They're letting a lot go for "advantage" but I guarantee it will change in the second half

Can someone tell me what Kell could do with his arm there.

The refs will get United over the line as usual

Kell looking injured. Games close but like the refs, been average quality.

Why call Kell for offensive foul and Delladova hooks him and no foul. Why play if ref's deciding game

Melbourne just find a way to compete. Jack White out of form, no Lee or CGflop but still right in the game.

Easy to compete week in week out when the men in green are on your side every game.

Time out three United coaches talking to the refs, maybe they never got the message.

Tatum doing an absolute number on Vickerman

Without CG bailing them out Melbourne and Vickerman are a disgusting watch. Everyone trying to get theirs rather than make the right play - the anti Jackjumpers.

I just wish Hooley would shut up a bit. Talks so much rubbish.

Yep Hooley is so bad. He's like an assignment when you’re trying hit the word count.

Hawks won't end up far off cracking the top 10 most rebounds by a team in an NBL game ever

They'd help their chances if they missed more shots.
They're out-rebounding United by 3:2 at their own end so far.

I could understand the commentators pumping it up this hard if it was against a full strength opponent, but jeez chill dudes.

Hawks just to good, Goulding covers up a lot cracks and takes defenders with him, Lee defensively also a big loss. Jack White no three-man either, Krebs been ok but on bench was strange, Bowen no starter either.

In regular season? Lost G2 & G3 of last season's GF.

The thing for MU is how heavily their opponents are scoring against them. What has happened to their much vaunted D? Did JLA and Hukporti make that much difference? Maybe with CG43 and Lee in the side and with Delly not misfiring this game is much closer. Lee also probably reduces Froling's influence. So, not getting too carried away with this result either. The one thing I do keep coming back to with the Hawks though is that they still look at that same level as they were last year in the playoffs when they probably should have been in the Championship series. The reigning champs are the other team that are starting to look like that and now seem the only side in the comp playing hard D. A long way to go yet and doubtless lots of twists and turns in this season yet to come. Maybe just a speed bump for MU and Vickerman will have them humming when it counts.

As for the game, United were all over the place. Played big ball with White at 3, next minute Krebs is playing small ball 4. Offensively they missed CG and on the glass and inside they missed Lee.

Sure, they're not going to win many games against the good teams without those two, but it was the way it happened that was worrying. Usually United bounces back hard from losses. Hawks just wanted it more. Even White was being outrebounded
