I see Joey is at the game sitting in the box near the sixers bench!

Joey was at the school championships. Martin is just not fit. Prather playing very well again, just think Bateman had a scoring record a week or so back, unbelievable.

Like seeing Dech be so aggressive at getting to the rim.

Wells trying to push them to play up-tempo and there's a lot of guys struggling with it right now.

Martin and Humphris are terrible. Adelaide kids are soft as butter. You think they would play hard with nothing to loose, but no go at all.

Harrison and Martin, 9 rebounds total, Harrison 18 on his own. Sixers are very average outfit without Davis and Harrell. Enjoy boges on commentary. Hard to know where bullets are as Sixers were so bad defensively.

Bullets are where they are botton team. Injuries have hurt. Potentially top if full squad and at best. Well off top 4 though.

Not a dig at the players themselves, but fair to say Brisbane is still without a 'quality' W this season.

I’m not counting the Batemon 50 burger game as Perth had played at home late Friday night then travelled to Brisbane for an early Sunday arvo tip.

Not liking the 5-7 record, mostly because it will embolden the invisible ownership group and management to continue pinching pennies and being mediocre.

Anyone here actually been to a game at Boondall recently? Curious to how the crowds are stacking up. I’m assuming attendance has been dwindling a great deal as the Bullets have recently started flogging 2-for-1 ticket deals hard at school and associations.

Go team.

I defended the signing of Jarell Martin initially but he would really want to pull his finger out soon unless he's content joining the long list of recent 36ers imports with impressive resumes that turned into busts when they put a 36ers uniform on.

Martin is so overweight, that's on him, he’s got work harder.

Doesn't look that overweight to me looks more like he DGAF, a not uncommon affliction for 36ers imports especially since 2018.

He's got a gut on him, he’d be 10 kilos heavier than his kings days, he’s just not mobile enough enough anymore.

Stunned that the coach hasnt been replaced yet.

Love how a players wife is criticising Coaching during the 3rd Quarter. Adds a lil spice to the viewing. Not the normal brief of a sideline reporter, ie report what is happening sideline, rather than criticising the coaching.

Game Music awful. The music person must believe that everyone comes along to listen to their play list. Many irrelevant 80's hit, several played way too long, most shouldnt be played at all. The music is supposed to be their to add some atmosphere help get the crowd into the game.

Was at least 1 timeout I saw which had no entertainment happening.

Probably should have stayed at the other smaller venue, where at least with the standard of presentation they could still get a close to full stadium.

Sum it up - poor overall management. Is there even a person in charge, or just faceless owners?

Schueller deserves to be replaced, but Bullets gonna Bullet and remain cheap.

It's unprofessional that Ariana offers comment on the games her husband plays. She has a little experience in the WNBA doing the same thing hence the gig here, but still.

And can only go from what I’ve watched on tv, but the game music this season has been awful. Constantly on, music irrelevant to the game/crowd. Certainly doesn’t entice me to go watch a game live, no thank you.

Was this your first NBL game? All the sideline commentators are essentially additional color commentators.

"Sideline Reporter NBL" Ariana's profile. A reporter. Not a commentator, a reporter.

A reporter should report, not give opinions. They give updates on what is happening on the sidelines/locker room. They provide an insight into what may be said during a time out. They interview players and coaches, get snippits of information that the commentators are unaware of.

What they shouldnt be doing is giving opinions on who should or shouldnt be on the court, what strategies the coach should be implementing, who should or shouldnt be given more court time. If they are doing this, it indicates that they dont have anything relevant to actually report.

The play by play commentator and expert/colour commentators are there to provide opinion and commentary.

Any other examples of a partner or s/o who is reporter or commentator who activately criticizes the coach of the organisation who employees their partner, from anywhere else in the world? I'm all ears.

It also opens doors to salary cap dodging, we can only pay you this much to play, but we will organise a job or even pay for your family member to work in a role.

How does someone get a Australian work visa as a sideline reporter, was there no one local worthwhile of an opportunity, someone who might be help to promote and develop sports locally for the next 20 years, rather than someone who will leave in a few months time?

Very bizarre situation.

The people in charge of the broadcasts clearly disagree with you. Prather started out acting as a reporter, and it was a nice change of pace from all the other sideline reporters that kept butting in and doing color commentary, but now she's emulating everyone else. It's pretty clearly a directive from above.

This "loophole" is open unless you flat out ban all family members from all forms of employment.
